General Guidance

Use These As Guidelines

The feeding guides on this website are intended as general guidelines only. Every animal, breed and rearing system is different. Use these guides as a starting point and adjust feeding rates based on animal size, age, condition, performance and your own experience.

The feeding rates shown on our product labels and website are recommendations, not fixed rules. If you are unsure which feeding programme is most suitable, or how much to feed, please seek advice from your animal feed retailer, animal nutritionist, veterinarian, or contact Milligans directly.

Newborn animals should receive fresh colostrum wherever possible, or ExcelPlus Colostrum®, for a minimum of the first 24 hours after birth.

Always ensure mixing and feeding equipment is hygienically clean. Mix powder using fresh, clean water around 42°C and feed at approximately 38°C.

Use common sense. Monitor your animals closely and adjust your feeding programme as required.
